The wisdom in this world is foolishness in God's sight.
What is the wisdom of this world?
1. Work hard to earn your place
2. Punish wrongdoers
3. Lord it over people
4. Hate your enemies
What is God's wisdom?
1. Rest because you have been given a place
2. Forgive wrongdoers
3. Serve other people
4. Love everyone, including those who don't love you
It's easy to see why the gospel of grace is so difficult to embrace.
God just doesn't do things the way we are accustomed to.
