James and Sam McPherson and children.
"the wicked are not defined by their brand of sin but by their fear"
James is talking about a mustard seed of faith not being about super Christians, at BrisCityChurch.
Ro.12:3 we each have the measure of Faith for one’s own life
and its not talking to you about another person’s measure.
I think when Jesus says to disciples “you of little faith”;
this was not a rebuke but stating the actuality.
Matt8: once on the water there is a greater unpredictability about our environment.
If we are hearing Jesus, it is smooth;
Jesus had a word for that storm, so he could sleep; it was “peace be still”.
Jesus the Word made flesh is Eternal- that storm was temporal.
If you desire to be in Jesus, you are eternal and your storms are temporal
and will respond to your Holy Ghost words.
Jesus was annoyed at their fear and not them as individuals.
Proverbs says the wicked flee when no one follows;
the wicked are not defined by their brand of sin but by their fear.
Joseph Conrad thought an impressive letter he received was a tax bill;
so he left it unopened for 3 weeks; dreading its contents which would make him destitute.
When he finally opened it, the letter contained an invitation to be knighted.
His relationship with that letter was one of fear rather than one of blessing –
same letter; different connection!
Fear affects our relationship with Jesus and our brother.
Fear should not be our default position.
Your brother is not one to be feared; he is not bad (evil) he just HAS fear;
the devil has pulled him down to the devil’s level.
Stop reacting to the devil’s agenda and get on with the blessing of Jesus’ vision for us.
I could spend my time admonishing from the platform the small group of malcontents,
the few with bad attitudes or the one’s with relationship aberrations or
I should preach about The Holy Ghost and His love and direction for us;
then i can be faithful to God and allow Jesus to change the few.
They are not bad people they are just sucked in by fear.
Fear sees everything as a threat Faith sees everything as an opportunity.
Its not about being good or bad, old or young, male or female but are you operating in fear or faith. Take time to say YES to Jesus that you want to commit and recommit to HIS ways.
A few of Calvary Christian Church beliefs:
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit
