Infected ear canal healed by holding to Jesus’ love for me.

a little of the gunk that came out (sorry for that view, ha ha)

I went for a surf Sunday 7th march 2010 in the afternoon after the east coast queensland tsunami warning.
I routinely (the last few years) put eardrops (aquaear) in my ears because I had a history of developing ear canal infections, when my ear canals retained water.
This has been occurring since surfing Sydney in the early 70s (maybe a bug from polluted water there).
Last week, even tho I’d put aqua ear drops in before and after surfing,
I developed an ear infection which became very apparent by Thursday.
Now, due to many years of suffering ear infections, the usual development is that the infection gets worse and more painful (no matter how i clean and self medicate it) until I’m forced to go to the doctor to get a script for a pharmaceutical anti-biotic.
Even with the antibiotic the recovery would take days of correct treatment.
So, Thursday I woke up, my body was under attack and I was feeling quite sub-ordinary in spirit.
In the last few years, The Holy Spirit has moved me into an understanding of the power of Jesus’ atonement at the whipping post, for our sicknesses,
that is, our healing is not a reward for our goodness as Christians but it IS about His sacrifice for us
(by His stripes you WERE healed).
I prayed a less than lively prayer Thursday morning but by Friday I knew I had a physical and spiritual battle to take authority over (I did not entertain thoughts of medical relief, this is my Grace story).

I rebuked the infection in Jesus name and reminded my self of the wonderful relationship I have with the Son of God.

Through Saturday I knew the devil and his infection were defeated; and i was allowing my Spirit to be more lively.
On Sunday morning my ear was only slightly painful in response to heavy touch.
At church, a maori pastor ministered and at the end of his word, he was doing healing in response to needs revealed to him by The Spirit. One was that the person with the ear infection is healed.
Although I knew Jesus had healed me physically it was a wonderful affirming that The Holy Spirit was lifting me even more in my mind and Spirit; it was good and God is good.
By Monday my ear was completely clear with no pain even to heavy touch; thank you Daddy God.

The 1600 s : Revelation of aspects of The Holy Spirit from our forebearers : "The Friends"

George Fox

“The Friends” as in “I no longer call you servants but ..” (Jo.15:15) became known as “the Quakers” apparently because of a slur by Justice Bennet,
(as regards the accused trembling in the Presence of the Holy Spirit) or,
as a proclamation from an accused to this Justice ....“you should tremble at the Word of God…”.
George Fox of Leicestershire (1624-91) had a yearning for Gospel truth from an early age.
Unable to find answers within the state church headed by the English Sovereign,
he soon allowed The Spirit to lead and teach him.
George set a a priority of the reality of Christ within the believer (Col.1:21) and His inner Light (Jo.1:1-14).
The church is the group of believers not the ornate buildings of the state.
He preached against a salaried and professional ministry.
He proclaimed the equality of all people in Christ (which did not go down well in class conscious England).
1000’s of ‘The Friends” were put in prison, some were put to death.
The Quaker meetings were visited by gifts of healings, miracles, discernments, knowledge, wisdom and spiritual tongues.
The meetings would start off in quiet contemplation but as the Holy Spirit moved His gifts would enliven the meetings.
By 1660 “The Friends" had influenced 40 to 60 thousand people from North America to Turkey.
Fox wrote “Book of Miracles” which included ~150 documented healings and miracles.
Although known for their passivity in natural day to day duties,
the Quakers were very bold in the Spirit which confirmed their greater belief in the unseen realm.

Female input to meetings.

James McPherson from Calvary Christian Church Townsville, & Kings Buderim

 James and Sam McPherson and children.

"the wicked are not defined by their brand of sin but by their fear"

James is talking about a mustard seed of faith not being about super Christians, at BrisCityChurch.
Ro.12:3 we each have the measure of Faith for one’s own life
and its not talking to you about another person’s measure.
I think when Jesus says to disciples “you of little faith”;
this was not a rebuke but stating the actuality.
Matt8:      once on the water there is a greater unpredictability about our environment.
If we are hearing Jesus, it is smooth;
Jesus had a word for that storm, so he could sleep; it was “peace be still”.
Jesus the Word made flesh is Eternal- that storm was temporal.
If you desire to be in Jesus, you are eternal and your storms are temporal
and will respond to your Holy Ghost words.
Jesus was annoyed at their fear and not them as individuals.
Proverbs says the wicked flee when no one follows;
the wicked are not defined by their brand of sin but by their fear.
Joseph Conrad thought an impressive letter he received was a tax bill;
so he left it unopened for 3 weeks; dreading its contents which would make him destitute.
When he finally opened it, the letter contained an invitation to be knighted.
His relationship with that letter was one of fear rather than one of blessing –
same letter; different connection!
Fear affects our relationship with Jesus and our brother.
Fear should not be our default position.
Your brother is not one to be feared; he is not bad (evil) he just HAS fear;
the devil has pulled him down to the devil’s level.
Stop reacting to the devil’s agenda and get on with the blessing of Jesus’ vision for us.
I could spend my time admonishing from the platform the small group of malcontents,
the few with bad attitudes or the one’s with relationship aberrations or
I should preach about The Holy Ghost and His love and direction for us;
then i can be faithful to God and allow Jesus to change the few.
They are not bad people they are just sucked in by fear.
Fear sees everything as a threat Faith sees everything as an opportunity.
Its not about being good or bad, old or young, male or female but are you operating in fear or faith. Take time to say YES to Jesus that you want to commit and recommit to HIS ways.

A few of Calvary Christian Church beliefs:
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit

Martin Steel, Harbourside Church Auckland; at Nexus Church

Martin and Roslyn Steel; Auckland :  http://www.harboursidechurch.org/

I am being challenged by people of God not to compartmentalise the supernatural of Jesus,
it is a whole of life experience to be embraced - yes.

I write a only a part of Martin's excellent talk here.
This is from slim notes of the talk; my additions are in brackets. - Enjoy.....
Martin says :
"I want to release a grace of Faith and Generosity –
we are not to compartmentalise the supernatural.
2Co.8
Paul uses the example of the Macedonians to show what generosity looks like.
It is more than putting aside of your income to give;
it is more than sacrificial offering (going without so you have more to give).
We tap into a grace which is not God forcing a person to do more but allowing God to do more.
Paul says the Macedonians though in trial; in Joy and in poverty were a rich and generous people.
Now if you took that to a business seminar on becoming rich & generous it would not go over well!
eg Ok to be successful make sure you’ve got big problems, you’re destitute but have a happy time! That’s Not the formula you see in success seminars, but Paul says they are a rich and generous people giving beyond what they were able.
This is a grace from God as shown in Jesus (though very rich He became poor for us then allowed us to be co-heirs)

"WE WANT to tell you further, brethren, about the grace (the favor and spiritual blessing) of God which has been evident in the churches of Macedonia [arousing in them the desire to give alms]; For in the midst of an ordeal of severe tribulation, their abundance of joy and their depth of poverty [together] have overflowed in wealth of lavish generosity on their part. For, as I can bear witness, [they gave] according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability; and [they did it] voluntarily, " AMP

Now what does giving beyond our ability mean.
There is a supernatural Grace that is at work here.
They gave all they could, then Jesus increased it, beyond their ability.
When that boy gave over all that he had of food (of his mum’s thoughtfully packed lunch)
that was his generous spirit on show.
Jesus took of that generosity and by His grace of generosity,
multiplied it at least 5000 times to feed the hungry (for His Word).
Jesus bestows supernatural grace upon our generosity that is beyond our ability – Yes:.

part of Harbourside Church vision :
To build a strong, healthy, and growing church - At Harbourside Church we recognise that it is Jesus Christ who builds the church, we also acknowledge that we have the privilege of being “fellow labourers with Christ” in this cause. The church needs to be built from the outside – in, and from the inside – out. We build from the outside – in as unchurched people are brought into a living relationship with Christ. We build from the inside – out when believers in our church family grow and develop in their walk with Jesus.
We recognise that building ‘the church’ is not limited to our local church alone. The church Jesus is building is a global church made up of believers throughout every nation. Therefore we are involved in the mission of Christ locally, nationally, and globally.

Brian Houston : You will find what you are looking for in scripture and this life.

worship in song session with Ben Fielding and the Band and Choir

"You will find what you are looking for in scripture and this life.
The vultures find what they look for. They look for dead stuff, carcasses."

Hillsong Brisbane 21 Feb Good worship in song session with Ben Fielding and the Band and Choir.
Songs included :
“God you are my God”
“You my God are Greater still”
“Saviour, He can move the mountains”
Brian Houston gets us all to pray for people who have filled out request forms he holds and anyone in the hall who requires healing.
He is pleased to announce 4 Sunday meeting times with all the same ministry. 8am(acoustic) 9am, 11am and soon 5pm, as well as Friday 6:30pm.
Bobby Houston promotes the Women’s Conference in Sydney “Colour 2010”.
She refers to Gen12:2 and our ingredients to bless: faithfulness, consistency (more).
She talks about the good work of Compassionate.
Brian congratulates Ben Fielding; his song “Mighty to save” is the No.1 sung song in USA churches which betters “Shout to the Lord” which made No.2 in the past.
Brian gives ministry (this is not word for word, ok) from Matt.25.
(brackets indicates my thoughts or perception)
“When ordinary people believe God, extraordinary things happen.
The talent, sum of money, was given (entrusted) but one of the servants hid his masters talent.
Life is entrusted to you, your body is given to you, even the air you breathe is entrusted to you. Different people have different spirits.
1Pet.3 a gentle spirit;
Ps.51:12 a generous spirit.
In 1989 we were young and had a growing church.
A youth pastor from a big USA church spoke at our church and subsequently invited me to visit them in USA. He said he might even be introduced to the BIG name leader. This desire happened and later the leader invited me to be a keynote speaker at one of his conferences. My knees went to water but I did it.
Some years later I asked him why he had chosen such a novice to speak.
He replied “I liked your spirit”.
Matt.25 identifies the kind of spirit that understands the Master’s spirit as goodness
and enters into JOY as opposed to the servant sees his Master as a HARD spirit.
Ps.119:68 God is Good and He does Good. It’s the finished works of Jesus we have now.
Ps.11:7 God’s Spirit IS Righteousness….His smile upholds the upright (us under Jesus)

You will find what you are looking for in scripture and this life.
The vultures find what they look for. They look for dead stuff, carcasses.
The humming bird looks for alive stuff; sweet nectar. (what do I look for?).

Receive a talent and give out of what that talent produces;
rather than lock up that talent (and promote in others to lock it up too).
A person kept asking me, “when was I coming thru his area”. I eventually went his way and he gave me a watch; I received it in a thankful spirit; even though i hate the thought that any ministers using their position to get freebies for duty or to influence.
Hearers of this gifting (of watch) reveal their spirit by what they say or think e.g. “what did he do for him to get that gift?”; “how come he gets a gift and I never do?”;  or “he probably deserves a gift but I don’t deserve a gift”.
We all need and can change our poor spirit to be His Spirit.
The talent he gives you is not to be hidden. (it would be better to blow the talent than to hide it).
The talent that Jesus has entrusted in you is to advance His domain on earth.
The Master has a desire to restore the lost, He gives them hope through you, the church and The Spirit. People like Bill Gates is putting much of his fortune into the poor and is to be commended,
just as the church is commended for doing the same
but we have a (better) calling to help the lost's spiritual relationship with Jesus also.
Mk.14:7 Very expensive Oil is used by this women to drench Jesus.
Jesus receives the honour and blesses the woman that she has done a very important thing;
and as an aside states the that we should ALSO do good to the poor.
Its not either / or it is Spiritual relationship with Jesus and help the poor.
Its about helping people connect with God.

a few Core beliefs of Hillsong :
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.
We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.
