When Adam wanted in on this "knowledge of good and evil" thing,
where he was assured, by the devil, it would make him more like God,
he entered into an endless cycle
of putting together a system of living standards,
that would never make him happy.
You might note (turn on the news) that after 6000 years,
mankind is no closer to a system that comes close,
not even in the vicinity,
to the happiness he had in Eden with Eve and Elohim.
Even the system delivered by Angels could not make us happy.
The Law was only ever a stop gap system,
until Jesus unleashed His Grace.
Yet, we haven't fully availed ourselves of His Grace
offered personally to each of us.
We keep panicking,
going back to the supposed safety of making up more rule systems.
Firstly, in the "church", and secondly, in the nation.
Please note, that the constant whining
about bringing back bible standards into government
has nothing to do with Jesus.
The 10 commandments were only to keep mankind aware
of his desperate need to personally encounter Grace.
Holy Spirit=Father God=Jesus Christ=Grace.
This is the challenge to us as christians,
stop point-scoring about how good our structures and rule systems are,
unite under Grace,
trust Jesus,
and experience what happens next.
It is gonna be Good !
Acts7
You who received the Law as it was ordained and set in order
and delivered by angels, and [yet] you did not obey it! (AMP)
+
You deliberately disobeyed God’s law,
even though you received it from the hands of angels. (NLT)
+++
Gal3
And it [the Law] was arranged and ordained and appointed
through the instrumentality of angels
[and was given] by the hand (in the person) of a go-between
[Moses, an intermediary person between God and man]. (AMP)
+
Obviously this law was not a firsthand encounter with God.
It was arranged by angelic messengers
through a middleman, Moses.
But if there is a middleman as there was at Sinai,
then the people are not dealing directly with God, are they? (TM)
+
The purpose of the law was to keep a sinful people
in the way of salvation
until Christ (the descendant) came,
inheriting the promises and distributing them to us. (TM)
+++
Gal2
We tried it—and we had the best system of rules
the world has ever seen! (TM)
