Mitsuo Fuchida ..... man in Grace

Today is the 70th anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Darwin. What no secular history book ever mentions is the fact that Commander Mitsuo Fuchida who led this infamous raid was led to Christ after the war and became a born again spirit filled evangelist. He was a national war hero and was one of the rare Japanese who was given audiences with the Emperor. His hero status helped to win 1000's of his countrymen to Christ. Mitsuo also commanded the raid on Pearl Harbour and personally sunk the Arizona killing 1177 American sailors. He later visited the naval base of the 'Arizona' after he found Christ and asked forgiveness to families at a special ceremony.. A widow of one of the Arizona sailors brought her little boy up to Mitsuo to shake his hand offering acceptance of total forgiveness. No you won't find this in the history books!

There's so much more I could say but Mitsuo was certainly was one of God's trophies of Grace!!!

hmmm, God separates the Sheep from the Goats....
Well, "GOOD NEWS" the Sheep are ALL His, Not one Goat Believed Him, 
but, as long as they have a breath, they still have a chance to become a Sheep, 
Yup. 
We are His and we Know His Voice. 
He is Ours and He Knows us by Name. 
We don't have to ever Worry we are not HIS, not matter WHAT, 
He is always there to pull us out and never once complain. 
And, why would He disown one of His Sheep, 
Has a Shepard ever disowned his sheep, 
he leaves the 99 to find the ONE....ummmmm

Even demons believe ......

[ I give money to the poor, but it is not my raison d'etre,
which is more about the poor (in spirit, in health, in wealth)
realising how Richly Jesus views us.]

Martin Luther wanted to leave the letter from James out of his thoughts !
This post relates to James 2.

Is it "works for salvation"? so opposing Ro3, Ro9
(justification by trusting Jesus).
Is it "can such faith (without works) save him"?

How does James interpret "works" and "belief"?

He says demons believe God is real (how could they not!),
but their "thought, held to be true" is dead.
Why is it dead?
Because demons have no loving response to, or place in, Jesus.

The Greek word, pistis, here translated, faith, also means belief.
The Greek word, pisteuo, here translated, believe, also means
"thoughts held to be true".

James starts the chapter discussing "thoughts held to be true".
It is good to get on with the elite.
Elite people are treated differently to the poor,
but those same elite can take you to court and blame God.

You have a system of worthy rules to join the "club"!
Also you seem to have a system that turns a blind eye
to some rules if other rules are kept.

I hear your thoughts that the poor should be helped.
The club says it is worthy, it believes in God,
it has thoughts to help the poor and it does something,
- "what are you doing" says your club member.

This is when James says, yes,
even demons have thoughts held to be true about God !

James goes on to explain what "works" looks like in Christ.

James uses two old testament examples to define works.
Abraham's and Rahab's response was more than intellectual.
It was active.
It is not a life-long series of responses that saved them.

I paraphrase Andrew Farley's summary of James 2 thus :

We're justified by works.

Rahab and Abraham did one significant work.

Living faith involves opening a door (like Rahab).
Living faith involves an offering of self (like Isaac).

Living faith requires more than knowing something.

Living faith requires a decision to act on this knowledge.

Have you opened the door to Jesus? - a work.
Have you offered yourself in Jesus? - a work.

[Being joined to Jesus is a work of delight.]

Healings and blissings ...

I have just come in off my verandah after a storm.
As the storm first started it was affecting TV reception.
I went out to put the mower into the shed.
I got back to the verandah as the rain came down.
There was lightning and thunder and the rain got heavier.
I started declaring in a normal speaking voice :
"Storm calm, no damage, just rain"

The wind picked up and the rain started being blown in sheets.
I changed my declaration to :
"Storm calm, no damage, just normal rain."
Across the road right in front of my eyes,
I saw two large branches crack and fall ever so lightly,
on the neighbour's shed. 
We checked later, there was no damage !

After the branches fell, the wind calmed,
the rain was moderate and ~30 minutes later
the storm had moved on.
I told the neighbour that he was blessed
because the branches fell so nicely.
He had a little thought then kept talking.
Fun time with Jesus.

Here is a progression of a  healing on facebook,
Jesus just did through me.

Friend: (on her wall a general plea)
 i"m so sick ... in big pain .... dieeeee

[in confidential message i write:]

B: you jokin ?

[stayed for a few minutes, no reply so I logged off]

F: ???

[ about an hour later I logged on]

B: you must have been hacked ! ha


F : when?


B:   check the timeline ... it came up that you were in big pain ...

F :   im sick (sad face) jsut whining!


B :   u wanna have some heal prayer now


F :   yes please!


B:   what's the sickness


F : flu


B : ok, let's spend the next 30 seconds telling it to take a hike via the love Jesus has for you, F, OK?


F : thankyou!


B : ok speak it out loud eh... let's do it now


[~30 sec later]


B: ok times up ha ... feel any better??


F : yes (smiley face) already !


F : tomorrow I'll wake up and feel no pain!

B : lets do the pain now if you want , bless you F, now just keep rebuking the flu until you are 100% ok


F: ok


B : is that Ok to deal with the pain?


F: yes (smiley face)


B : ok right now, let's do the same thing aloud .... tell the pain to go now in Jesus name .... it has not right to be in F ... right ... pray with me now

      Had a dream 3 nights ago about a young friend of mine who was part of the religious organisation I was in. 
      In the dream he was not that keen to hear the supernatural things I was telling him about.
      I woke with an ordinary feeling.

      Had a dream 2 nights ago about a group meeting in an old pavilion. I went in looking for P; then realised some of the people were from a breakaway group that left some months after i left the religious organisation.
      I felt a bit uncertain that they were at this meeting.
      I continued looking for P but was surprised that friends who really understood Grace were in the pavilion too.
      I was surprised because I had met them online and they were from overseas.
      We had wonderfully warm and friendly interactions.
      I woke with a good feeling.

       Last night I went to bed after feeling a some uncertainty during the day.
      I really can't tell now if it was a dream or reality.
      During the night I woke with a wonderful feeling of being held in a warm embrace.
      
      The "person" who was embracing me was just a little behind my right shoulder.
      I tried to see who it was but couldn't.
      I could see P behind me and beside me;  I looked to see if she was feeling this.
      
      I decided I liked the feeling so stopped analysing it,
      and just started to enjoy the embrace.
      At intervals, I would flicker open my eyes and could see dawn light out the window.
      A little later, I wondered if I should be aware of any message in the embrace. There wasn't anything obvious to me so I questioned myself about my sensitivity to any message.
      I thought just leave it, and enjoy the feeling.
      I drifted back to sleep.
      I awoke re-assured that I had experienced a supernatural embrace from Holy Spirit.

      Two (seborrhoeic) ketatoses were getting larger.
      One was on my face on the left cheek.
      It was painful when I shaved.
      The other was getting hard and thick
      on the front of my left thigh.
      I prayed that they would reduce.
      It took some months but when I thought to check recently they had cleared up.
      Thanks Jesus, that you would heal the small things.

As "nice?" as it feels, 
indignation is not righteousness !

As "nice?" at it feels, 
sentimentality is not Love !

As "nice?" as it feels, 
scoffing is not Wisdom !

Never out of fellowship .....

When we sin, there will be consequences.
It will disrupt our lives.
The sin brings its own hell.

Be certain,

THE SIN DOES NOT DIS-FELLOWSHIP ME FROM JESUS.

Jesus is there every step of the way.
Daddy God's face is always FOR us.
Holy Spirit loves to bring us through a failure.

A consequence may be, that those, wronged by my failure,
will not interact (fellowship) with me.
This is not to be confused with my fellowship with the Godhead.
Restoration with the offended person/people may happen in time
via my contrition and their forgiveness.
Restoration with people always brings joy into our earthly time.

My fellowship with Abba, Son and Holy Ghost is not affected.
My sin will not make me content.
My Godly sorrow brings His changes to my attitude
so I can enjoy Grace as He desires.

I am free to live out His joyous destiny for me,
right here on Earth, as it will be in Heaven.

It is ridiculous to think that a person who sinned,
can "get it together" on their own,
so they can get back into fellowship with God.

Sending a person out from the ecclesia
is an option to change their minds
about their attitude to a sin mindset.
(For example, the man having sex with his step-mother).
Out there, the devil can show them sin's consequence,
God is still with them.
This option is a last resort.
(Paul is quick to get this man back in
as soon as the mindset changes).

It is not up to authoritarians to throw people out of ecclesia.
This is the way non-spiritual groups deal with their problems.

The person sinned under that authoritarian group's doctrine, anyway.
So, actually, to be thrown out from such a group is a "blessing in disguise".

The devil always overplays his hand and drives people to Grace ! 


hahahe ... yes !!!

Confession can't deal with sins ...

The only place that "confess", "God", "forgiveness" and "sins"
are mentioned together is 1John1.

Here it talking to non believers
because these gnostics are saying
Christ is only Spirit, and also, they can't sin !
(Even believers might get the idea that they can't sin !)
Forgiveness and righteousness follow their acknowledgement
of their sin which requires mercy from Jesus.
(Believers are constantly in a state of forgiveness.)

God recognises that
only the finished work of Jesus on the Cross
can deal with sin.
His blood cleanses and forgives us our sin.
His crucifixion, AS US, kills our sinful nature,
as believers identify their co-death, co-burial, and co-raising in Christ.
Holy Spirit remembers our sins no more.

Our poor memory of our sins to be confessed to God
will never have us forgiven and cleansed.
Even remembering a short list will not do it.

Jas.5 says to confess your sins one to another, also our struggles.
This has a debriefing and counselling benefit amongst trusted friends,
but it has nothing to do with obtaining forgiveness from God.

Elijah likes being dramatic ....

Elijah - G. Savoldo

The mystic from Tishbi (=captivity) a town in Gilead (=rocky region) 
who prophesied against Ahab (=father's brother), 
Israel's most evil king married to phoenician Jezebel (="Baal exalts" or "Baal is husband to").

Elijah (="my God is Jehovah" or "Yah(u) is God") 
confronts "uncle" Ahab with a prophecy.

Yah says : 

"there shall not be dew nor rain these years, 
but according to my word." 

Yah then directs Elijah to safe places: 

Brook Kedron (flows from Mt o Olives), 
crows feed him; 

Zarephath (=refinery) phoenician town, widow, 
a "bottomless" jar of flour and oil.

Obadiah saved 100 prophets 
from murderous Jezebel.

Elijah likes to think of himself 
as the only prophet left and zealous!

"God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow 
with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?"

Elijah likes to think he has more empathy than Yah!

Elijah likes his word of authority 
to be noted by his contemporaries.

In the 3rd year of the drought, 

Yah says : 

"Go, show yourself unto Ahab; 

and I will send rain upon the earth."

Elijah delegates Obadiah to get Ahab 

with an assurance that Elijah won't translocate in the Spirit!

On Mt Carmel, Elijah seems to do a faint parallel of Moses on Mt Sinai.

He gathers Israel to experience the fire of God on an offering

and a Baal (=lord,supreme male divinity of phoenicia) prophet slaughter. 

The 400 prophets (temple prostitutes?) of Asherah (=goddess consort of baal) 
didn't turn up !?

Did Yah instruct this slaughter or just the breaking of the drought?

Elijah outruns (with Spiritual strength) 
the chariot of Ahab to Jezreel (=God sows).

Why is it that Elijah folds so quickly to Jezebel's threats 
after his day of victory?

Did he think that Ahab and Israel had returned to Yah, 

because of his victory and the breaking of the drought?

Ahab did not require her submission.

Jezebel still had 400 prophets and she was up for another challenge.

His victory was replaced with his panic but 
Yah was not asked for His solution.

Elijah was only interested in victory the way he had envisioned it.

Angels strengthened him for his idea of a retreat to Mt Sinai.

But Yah was perplexed why he was there!

Elijah gave a self-promoting reply.

Yah showed some bombast like Elijah's.

Hurricane, earthquake, fire.

But Yah was only interested in whispering:

"What are you doing here?"

Again, Elijah gave a self-promoting reply!

Then Yah gave his solution.
It was a succession plan for the many who still worshiped Yah.
New kings, new replacement for Elijah!
"...and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat 
from the town of Abel-meholah 
to replace you as my prophet."
Elijah's "anointing" of Elisha was delayed 
and less than fatherly!


He sees the end of Ahab and Jezebel. 

He sees the end of Ahaziah, 
(not without some self-indulgent calling fire down from heaven 
to kill those sent to arrest him!).


He leaves this Earth more mysteriously than he entered the scene.
A chariot of fire drawn by horses of fire 
which drove between Elisha and Elijah 
who was taken into Heaven by a whirlwind. 

Elisha saw it and cried out, 
“My father! My father! 
I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” 
And as they disappeared from sight, 
Elisha tore his clothes in distress.


Read it ! 


Elisha has to plead for his anointing just before this.


And Elisha replied, 
“Please let me inherit a double share of your spirit 
and become your successor.”


Yah had told Elijah to anoint Elisha as his replacement years ago!


Elijah keeps his "office" until the very last second.


Elisha picks up what's left from Elijah, his cloak.
He goes down to the Jordan, frustrated, 
he strikes the water with the cloak, as Elijah just did,
and cries out 
"Where is the Lord?, Where is this God of Elijah? 


Then the river divided,..."


This is the first time Elisha and the prophets 
know that he has the anointing 
and the position as father prophet to Israel,
by not so much as an anointing but a "cloaking".

I think Elisha is not the only one
pleased to see Elijah off .... 
Earth !!!


Elijah is recorded in six chapters 
(I Kings 17-19, 21; II Kings 1-2).
