God keeps pointing to Jesus & His Sacrifice for our rightness, from the start, during (N.B.) and at the finish; yeh yes!

...a section from The Happy Gospel by Benjamin Dunn:

"See the endless mercy of the Lord!

He showed Cain a sacrifice that would be accepted,
even after Cain had failed.

Much better translations come from both the Young's Literal :

"...and if thou dost not well, at the opening, a sin offering is crouching."

and the Rotherham translation:

"But if thou do not right, at the entrance, a sin bearer is lying...""


The pressure is off all of us to work out how to be ok with God.
Just point to Jesus and Love Him.
