Danny Silk Bethel Church spoke at Revolution Church Gold Coast after his workshop on The Culture of Honour –
He and Sheri take the seminars this Thursday night until Saturday night at Nexus Church, Brisbane.
Danny gave some of his background while growing up. Raised by a single mum from age 7-12 years old. His mum had many men friends during that time. So that relates to the men/father role he took into his teens. He wasn’t a church goer.
Danny is talking on healthy relationships.
Anyone would think by the way some church people act that Jesus was a wimp, highly co-dependent on people and His message was “Go do likewise”.
Remember this, Jesus got to the cross by strong decisions.
He didn’t have to do anything He didn’t want to do.
At the end of His human life He wasn’t blaming people for a life that sucked. Don’t live your life blaming others for hurting you and making you do things that you thought were your obligations to them.
Jesus was at rock star proportions because of His healing and deliverance ministry; big crowds gathered for healing but He has his face set to go to Jairus’ daughter. He could say no, He could set a line between his priorities and others demands.
Wealth needs management, your Gift needs management, your beauty needs management, give it a value and protect the priority. There is a line between my life and your life with regards to access and intimacy.
Your access and intimacy with The Holy Ghost should always be greater than with another person,  there will be different accesses for your spouse, your parents, your siblings, your friends, your church associates, your work associates etc way out to Osama Bin Laden, there will have to be discussions before Osama can come over for dinner!
How do you feel about this.
There are many cars that drive by your place with out any impact upon you. One day one of those cars comes in your driveway (o who is that fellow). The person comes up to the porch (better go and see who it is). The person comes straight through the door (that’s a bit odd). The person walks straight through the lounge room (what the!) into the kitchen and starts eating out of the fridge (now that’s too much!) turns and moves into your bedroom and lies down (ok that’s it, I’m running out for help; or; I’m about to become violent). Then a voice calls from the bed “its me your hubby, home”.
You sensed the different intimacies and access priorities there eh.
When your internal voice is louder than the voice of the Word of God made flesh, soon you will be giving access to your most intimate space to another less loving person.
Who can climb Mount God?
Who can scale the holy north-face?
Only the clean-handed,
only the pure-hearted;
Men who won't cheat,
women who won't seduce.
God is at their side;
with God's help they make it.
This, Jacob, is what happens
to God-seekers, God-questers. Ps24:3-6

I will leave this report at this length.
There was plenty more delivered in an amusing but relevant style.
I hope this rough report might develop more inquiry.
