Just seen the movie "Legion".

I cannot help but see Hollywood amplify our stupid theology of angry God

They reflect a god who sent angels to destroy the earth in the similitude of Noah's flood.

They project a god who has lost faith in humanity.

Before you get excited about our "meeting in the air"

we must learn what is the "air" first.

Ephesians 2:1-2

And you were dead

in the trespasses and sins

in which you once walked,

following the course of this world,

following the prince of the power of the air,

the spirit that is now at work

in the sons of disobedience—

I believe the context of the words "sons of disobedience" here

means the Pharisees and the Priests during Jesus' day.

Hence the "air" would refer to the meeting place between heaven and earth

which was at that time the temple.

At that time they kept the old covenant.

When you became the temple,

you were hence "caught up in the air".

You now are kept by the new covenant.
