THE MYSTERY AND UNIVERSAL SALVATION …

Paul refers to the Gospel as the “mystery” (Ephesians 6:19).

What exactly is this mystery? 

Paul made this statement in Ephesians. 

What does Paul mean by the word “mystery” in Ephesians 

and how is this connected to the Gospel that saves?

Paul can use the word “mystery” in various ways in his letters 

but in Ephesians he uses it in a very specific sense.

He tells us that the mystery came to him by revelation 

and that it was not previously known (3:3, 5).

So what exactly is this mystery of the Gospel? 

Are you ready for Paul’s definition of it in Ephesians?

In former generations this mystery was not made known to humankind, 

as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit: 

that is, the GENTILES HAVE BECOME FELLOW HEIRS, MEMBERS OF THE SAME BODY, 

members of the same body, 

and SHARERS IN THE PROMISE IN CHRIST Jesus THROUGH THE GOSPEL

What’s so radical about that you may think? 

So what if the Gentiles and Jews are now united as a result of the Gospel?!

HE HAS MADE KNOWN THE MYSTERY of his will, 

according to his good pleasure that he SET FORTH IN CHRIST, 

as A PLAN for the fullness of time, 

TO GATHER UP ALL THINGS IN HIM, 

THINGS IN HEAVEN AND EARTH

The mystery is about the Gospel of salvation 

and how God brings together Jew and Gentile in Jesus. 

The point is this …

How many JEWS AND GENTILES did Paul say are “sharers in the promise” ? 

ALL! ALL! ALL!

Yes all things in heaven and earth 

are already gathered up in Christ through the Gospel of salvation! 

ALL! ALL! ALL! 

Can I say this any louder and clearer?

Yes we need to come to faith. 

Paul says this: 

“so that WE WHO WERE THE FIRST TO SET OUR HOPE ON CHRIST, 

might live for the praise of his glory.” (1:12).

We believers are only the FIRST to experience this reality 

and so we live for the praise of his glory.

Eventually all others will follow suit !

UNIVERSAL SALVATION is the mystery of the Gospel! 

God through Jesus has already gathered up all beings in heaven and earth … 

we are now in the aftermath … 

some of us are the first to enjoy it … 

but the plan is the rest will follow suit.

This lady testified to an amazing healing on her eye. Doctors thought she had a cataract and took tests. She received prayer at one of our meetings last year in Sydney and when she went back to the doctor, tests revealed that she had an aggressive malignant tumour in her eye and was likely to lose her eye, but when they checked again, the tumour had disappeared! Thank you Jesus! This lady recently had an operation on her shoulder and was in pain so she came to our meeting last weekend. After prayer, all pain left and she had more movement.
